When you view a web page with your browser, it must load a lot of data (images, text, code, etc.) from the Internet to display the page correctly. Most browsers store much of this data in a so-called cache in order to load contents directly from the computer instead of again over the Internet if required. This relieves the Internet management and accelerates the development of websites. This is basically a good technique. However, this can also cause problems.
For example, if you delete an image you are using from the image manager and upload a new image with the same name again, you may still see the old image that no longer exists when you are logged out. This is because the browser still caches the old image with the same name. The only way is to clear the cache in your browser so that the browser is forced to get the new image from the server to display it on the page.
Sometimes it can also be that after an update your site does not work properly. Not because the update has a problem but because data in the browser cache leads to conflicts with the new data. Here, too, it helps to clear the cache.
Basically, it always makes sense to clear the cache first in case of problems. Many problems can often be solved in a simple way.
Select the menu "Chronicle" and then the menu item "Delete latest chronicle...".
A window opens. At the top you can set the period for which you want to clear the cache. The safest way is to select "All". This deletes all data that the browser has cached.
It is important that you click on the "Detail" option. There are various options such as "visited pages", "cookies", etc. Deselect all points if they are selected and activate only the option "Cache".
If you now click on "Delete now", only the cache is deleted.

To clear the cache from the menu, you must first activate the menu item "Developer".
